Join our Pittsburgh area Romance Writers Group

If you or someone you know lives in our area, and is interested in writing romance, please consider joining us.

Last meeting we had an attendee from Steubenville, Ohio, and we have a couple of members from the Butler area.

Several of our members have published multiple books, so you are sure to learn something. Our meetings are informal, and much of the meeting is usually devoted to discussion. We also conduct workshops from time to time. We’ve hosted contests in the past and one is planned for the spring.

For more information, simply attend a meeting or a chat.

Sticky: Here’s our new website

This is the new website of the Western Pennsylvania Romance Writers.

We’ve been around since 2008 and are always looking for ways to grow and improve, as a writing group and as individual authors.

We are affiliated with Romance Writers of America and meet once monthly, usually on a Thursday night.

We alternate meetings between the Barnes and Noble in Cranberry and the Barnes and Noble at Settler’s Ridge in Robinson Township.

Contest in the Spring

At our last meeting we decided on a theme for our upcoming writing contest, help tentatively titled “Spring Flowers.”

Those who take part would submit 10 to 15 pages of romance which would include mention of flowers.

We have an editor from a digital publishing company who has volunteered to judge as well as an editor who runs her own business.

More details will be forthcoming.
